Mystical Wonders of Nadi Astrology - 2

I was talking about the science of Nadi astrology, in my previous article and now I would like to talk about how a person goes about checking his Nadi script. Originally, all Nadis are stored at the library at Vaideeswaran Koil in Tamil Nadu state of India. And as I said earlier, many copies have been made and distributed around various parts of India and also abroad. But, you have to be very careful to know who is genuine and who is a cheat. There are many fake copies roaming around and people just fool you to make a lot of money. First of all, if you are a man, the astrologer will ask for your right thumb impression, and if you are a woman he will ask for your left thumb impression. He will match the thumb impression with the scroll, and if he finds one, he will open it and start reading and asking you questions based on the details given in the scroll. He will ask if your father's name is Joseph for example, and then your mother's name and you were born in such and such place etc... You have to say a yes or no based on what you know about your parents and yourself. Even if you say a single no, he will move on to the next leaf. This is the first step. It could take 10 minutes to half an hour or even an hour or more and sometimes, he may not find your leaf at all and ask you to come after months, and it could take years before you find your details with the nadi.
Now we shall discuss different sections of the Nadi script. The sections are originally known as Kandam. The first two steps which I have already discussed comes under the general section. Including the general section there are totally 12 sections corresponding to the 12 houses of the horoscope in the process. Apart from these 12, there 3 other sections or kandams featured in the nadi process. Depending on individual's leaf, the general section would guide the astrologer which section he has to read next for the benefit of the individual. But before we go into those details, I will outline the 15 sections which are :
1) General section containing details of father, mother, siblings and the individual and a brief outline of his past, present and future including marriage, profession and children and death.
2) The second section talks about education, money and intuition of the individual. It also talks about the eyes and the family.
3) This section talks about the individual's relationship with siblings with their names and also the individual's relationship with his/her self.
4) The fourth section gives a detailed account about their mother regarding past and present health and also about the individual's comforts like house, land and vehicle etc..
5) This fifth section is about the individual's children, and it will predict how many children he/she will have, and how they will be, and also determine the sex of the child, what they will study, and how their general health will be and also what profession they might choose. This section will also talk about the individual's ability to have children or not. It also states the karmic reasons for the individual's inability to procure.
6) The sixth section concentrates on the perons's debts if he/she has any. It also talks about the enemies and how to beware of them and gives many other remedies to overcome these hurdles. This section also concentrates on court cases and litigations.
7) This is one of the most important sections of Nadi astrology. It talks about the spouse of the individual. It gives a detailed account of where he/she is born, which city, town village he/she is living in. What profession they are pursuing, if they are earning well. It also mentions the physical structures like height, weight and complexion and colour of eyes, hair. The description it gives is unique. It will say something like for eg. "The person's village is two nights and two days away from the subject's house by horse". Now that is difficult for us to interpret. It also mentions in the ancient style of expression if the person is from a foreign land. This section gives the detailed account of how the married life will be, if there will be any divorce or separation or death of the partner. According to the planetary positions if there are any malefics, then the nadi will advice the individual to go to a certain temple and do some worship which will act as a remedy to reduce the effect of the particular planet.
8) This section talks about the individual's lifespan, and also mentions if there are any dangers due to accidents and also mentions the time and age of the individual's death.
9) This section concentrates on the individual's father's wealth and ancestral properties.It also mentions about visits to holy shrines and pilgrimages Mainly it concentrates on the individual's spiritual life if he has any or not, and also talks about his/her spiritual master, about his/her charitable deeds and involvement in social life.
10) This section concentrates on career, job, profession and business. It also talks in detail about the individual's prosperity at a particular point of time and year of his/her life and also the failures he/she might have to face.
11) This chapter also talks about the accumulated wealth and income of the person and gives a detailed account about name and fame and also mentions if the individual will have any extra-marital affairs or possibilities of a second marriage.
12) This section talks about the individual's travels to foreign land, and also his/her expenses in detail. But it touches a very interesting and deep point when it starts mentioning if the individual has salvation, or if they will be born again. It also gives a detailed account of where they will incarnate and what the future birth will be like and how their family surroundings will be and also with clear details of their future profession.
Apart from these Kandams, there are 3 more sections which I will discuss about.
13) This one is about the remedies one needs to perform in order to avert the negative effects created by the plantes in one's chart. The nadi clearly mentions the reasons for these bad effects and those reasons are nothing but the consequences of our own actions in past lives, which can be corrected in certain ways. So, Nadi astrology clearly concentrates on Karma which is the core teaching of Hinduism and Buddhism. And it's clear that no individual can escape the law of karma, Newton's third law of motion.
14) This section is basically concentrated on the protection with the power of Mantra. Mantras are sacred Sanskrit chants which have scientific vibrations, which create an energy shield when chanted in a particular sequence and they provide protection according to the nature of the mantra, if it's for peace, avoiding evil forces from distracting our pursuit, and even it has the power to ward of jealousies and enmity of people, and also bring prosperity and fortune.
15) The final section is about natural medicines, herbs prescribed for the individual's chronic illnesses. It also prescribes spiritual techniques and diet for the individual's spiritual progress.
This is a detailed account of Nadi astrology which I have mentioned. It depends from person to person how they want to perceive this article. Some may believe, some may not and some may be curious and go and try it out for themselves to see if it's true or not. I will write personal experiences of mine and other friends and also articles related to Nadi astrology in my next section which will be part - 3.
