Mystical Wonders of Nadi Astrology - 3

In my second edition of Nadi Astrology, I had discussed how an individual finds his/her leaf. I even discussed what happens after they find their respective leaves and also the different sections of Nadi astrology. The most important requirement for a Nadi astrologer is a well-developed intuition and the ability to interpret the language of the nadi leaves. I have noticed many nadi astrologers just read through the scroll like an express train running at 150 miles per hour, but in the end the subject hardly gets any description of his/her life. We all agree and it's a well-known fact that language has evolved over centuries. The usage of words in scripts and even the style of writing and the nature of script is bound to change with time. Even Sanskrit, and Tamil known to be one of the most ancient languages along with Hebrew and Latin seem have to gone through a few changes. The nature of writing in human beings and even expressing have changed so much with time. Is the Nadi astrologer aware of all these changes? I would say no.

I am going relate a few personal experiences I have come across. My father went to check his leaves with the nadi in early 1980s for my mother. All the details of my mother's name, her father's name, her mother's name and her husband's name (my father) seemed to be accurate. They also predicted of my mother's illness which she was suffering at that time, was Asthma. They had predicted an early death for my mother, but not very directly. Usually, they don't say the negative things at all. Even if there is something very negative they brush it aside and interpret only the good things. After ten years my father went and checked his leaves in Chennai and even he found all the details just like my mother's to be correct. It's the same pattern which follows from person to person. Every leaf follows a similar pattern of talking about the parents' name, profession, no. of siblings and profession and so on. As I had mentioned in my previous edition, the general section guides the astrologer to one of the 12 sections and also most importantly the 13th section which talks about healing remedies. My father was guided through the 13th section to visit a temple of Lord Vishnu in Chennai and conduct some worship. My father asked the astrologer, how much should he pay. The nadi astrologers charge a basic fee of 500 INR for the general section and something between 250 INR to 500 INR for the other sections. But in my father's case, the astrologer was honest enough to tell him that the leaf instructs him not to charge him any money and he asked him to come after 6 months. My father did come back, but he was not to be found again.

But I shall remind again, all the past details were accurate, but the future has been blurred. The leaf is accurate with the future, but it's the inefficiency of the astrologer to see it clearly. In the year 2007 I was very keen to have an experience with the nadi and I was searching for a genuine person who doesn't cheat. One fine day, my father comes and gives me details of one astrologer in Chennai and asks me to go to him. I wanted to be sure that he is genuine and I asked my two friends to visit him first. They visited him the very next day and were lucky enough to find their leaves within minutes and he started to interpret their lives. He was totally accurate about their past. 100%. And he did predict many things about their future, which seemed a little close as per what the events were occuring in their lives, but somehow the time of the event was a little confusing and wrong. They read the different sections of the nadi and it did divulge many interesting informations. I am not mentioning any personal life accounts what the astrologer said respecting the privacy of my friends.

They came back and gave me detailed account of their experiences. Now, as I was having a tough and confusing time in my life, I was looking for certain answers. I was impressed from their experience and I fixed an appointment with him two days after my birthday. The minute he found my leaf he started to read and interpreted, "This guy has come with two questions in his mind. The first question is related to his love life and the second question is related to his spiritual destiny". I was flabbergasted. I asked him, "Are you sure the leaf says so? You must be joking". He looked at me and said, "Swami, I don't lie. I am true to my profession. Please read it for yourself. This is what the nadi says. These are the words of sage Agastya". I was so excited, I was just trying to control myself, but I couldn't and was getting more curious to know the rest. He showed me the leaf and I saw the words written in Tamil, and he was right. I had come exactly with these two questions in my mind. The leaf then read, "This boy will come to visit you after his 31st birthday, on a tuesday." I visited him exactly two days after my birthday on a tuesday. Then he drew my chart from the nadi and I compared with my computerized horoscope, and it was accurate. The name of my mother was correct, and also my father's name and profession was accurate. The nadi also mentioned that I have two sisters, and also mentioned that my mother is no more. He just gave a brief reading and asked me to come the next day so he could read it out slowly and interpret everything and record it in a cassette for me. I visited him the next day and he gave a detailed account of my future, and also clearly stated that I am pursuing my life in yoga and will continue to do so in the future. I did compare his predictions with predictions of other astrologers and clairvoyants, and there were many similarities, and in fact, his predictions were more detailed than anyone else.

I was so impressed, I took another friend of mine to him and she was impressed with this experience too. As usual the family details were accurate. But to our surprise, the nadi had mentioned who she will come with. It clearly mentioned that I will bring her to that place. It gave good predictions about her future, and a good successful career in airlines and she is going places today. Could anyone imagine, how Sage Agastya knew about aeroplanes 4,000 years back? But he clearly mentions it in his leaf about her profession as an airhostess. I saw the word in Tamil myself, which was written as "Vimanam" which is related to vehicle and there was one more word related to air. The nadi also mentioned about her past karmas due to which there were some ill-effects in her chart and she had to visit a few temples for the remedy. The nadis also mentioned the name of her spiritual master and the spiritual techniques she was practicing.

A few years back I read an article in the newspaper Deccan Chronicle, published in Chennai. This article was related to destiny and death. The question was if we can escape death when it is the time. A man had gone to check his nadi, written by sage Bhrigu in Sanskrit. The nadi had clearly stated the nature of death as an accident while driving a vehicle. So it was one of the days when he used to travel by bike, he started off on a highway. His sisters and family were coming by car behind him. Then all of a sudden there was a bus coming from the opposite direction which missed him by a whisker. This took the family by surprise and they remembered the prediction of the nadi and told him not to take anymore chances and hitch hike with a truck. So this guy loaded his bike into the truck and sat on the behind. But bad luck prevailed, and the truck fell into a ditch and both the driver and the guy died on the spot.

I was travelling with my girlfriend last year all over south India. We started with the temples of Andhra Pradesh and moved down south to Vaitheeswaran Koil, the origin of Nadi astrology. She was curious to check her leaf and we were taken to one person. There are so many Nadi astrologers there, it's really hard to believe who is the genuine person. And we were taken to one such person, and we were feeling a bit strange about these guys. I told the astrologer, I shall interpret everything to her in English. But they wouldn't allow me to sit with her inside. They take you to another room and do the reading. Instead, they called another man, who spoke totally in half English and just blabbered something. They didn't even ask her the proper questions, and just all of a sudden found some leaf, and said it is hers after divulging every information from her mouth. And on top of that, they just read the nadi and ask her all of a sudden, "Have you been physical with your boyfriend?". That was the end of it. We must watch out for such people who could be perverts, and also, cheats just to swindle money out of our pockets. There are many cheaters around. I warn especially to those westerners who have been visiting Nadi astrologers in India to be careful. Go with a trusted Indian friend if you have one or develop contacts with people and enquire before you decide for yourself. This guy charged us 500 INR he didn't divulge anything about her life. The general section reveals enough information about an individual's life right from birth to death. He wanted that we pay more to check the other sections and make enough money. But we were so disappointed we just paid the money and walked out of there.

These were the limited experiences which I had with Nadi Astrology, and I am sure the readers would have read much more information about this science all over the net already. I would like to add some information about the temples which the Nadi mentions for the remedies and healing. There is place called Kumbakonam a few kilometers from Vaitheeswaran koil, which is surrounded by 750 temples. It's a beautiful place with different temples and different deities. There are different remedies mentioned in the nadi for different planets. Each planet has it's own temple and these temples have been built by ancient kings of India according to astronomical details and placement of the plantes in the sky, so that people visiting the deity placed in that particular position would render healing effects. This is an ancient science, who's secrets have been lost today.

I would like to conclude by saying, no leaf which belongs to one person, will match another person's details. But there could be similarities of name, as we all know, there are so many people with the same name, also born on the same date, year and time and also under the same planetary positions. But still, there will be some minor details which will clash and render the leaf as wrong. Each individual will have only one leaf which belongs their nature, and once this leaf has been read, it will be removed from the scroll and taken back to Vaitheeswaran Koil and offered worship to it along with all the set of leaves which have been read for various people, and finally, all these leaves are flown into the river Cauvery. No leaf is ever repeated for another person. Nadi Astrology is indeed a deep mystical science which will keep us wondering how did this ever happen. How did the rishis ever discover this science and predict for all of mankind? The same person who reads his leaf in this life dies and incarnates again, and he goes back to the nadi scroll to find details of his new life and it goes on and on......! Indeed it's mysterious and mystical, the way the rishis worked and spent their mystical energies writing volumes of scrolls on the history of mankind.

The seven rishis of India even today are rendered as the greatest Gurus of Hinduism and are worshipped with reverence to this day and will be worshipped forever. Great is their knowledge, great is their wisdom imparted to mankind in so many ways such as the Upanishads and the Vedas and the many scriptures which are yet to be interpreted by the common man. There is a sanskrit chant from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad which goes like this :

Om poornamadah, Poornamidam

Poornath, Poornamudachyate.

Poornasya Poornamadaya

Poornamevaa Vashishyate.

Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi

That is whole, This is whole, What has come out of the Whole, is also Whole; When the Whole is taken out of the Whole, the Whole still remains Whole. Om Peace, Peace, Peace.

Hi Drunken Mystic,

I myself had a mystical experience with the sacred Nadi, sometime early this year. Relationship problems and issues regarding marriage formed the basis for my search. Everything regarding my past was spot on, and the predictions are slowly starting to unravel.

Did the Nadi reader manage to interpret the name of your future wife correctly? Does such a person exist? and did you manage to find answers pertaining to marriage?

Your article is brilliant. Many thanks for your insight, and keep it up....

Hi Sam,

He wasn't able to reveal the name of my wife.. The marriage is still yet to happen, but there are too many obstacles now. He has unfortunately, not spoken the bad events, and just given a very detailed life as if, it's a life without any problems or disturbing events, but it's been a tough ride for me until now. Well, he is in Chennai, but I heard off late he doesn't do readings and he is busy travelling all the time. Thank you for your comments. :)

Hi Druken Mystic,

I understand. The discretion is left up to the reader whether or not to reveal all the facts/truths. We all seek the truth, but it is difficult to find a nadi reader who is not driven by greed/money or who feels it necessary to come across like a "feel good" fortune teller. I came across one early this year, who has no qualms about revealing exactly what is written. Confronting the truth, whether good or bad, is always a step forward for your own personal development. E-mail me privately should you need any further info.

I too met with this unique experience with Naadi. Details about the past match 100%.

I was just wondering how such a thing could happen at all.
I would like to know if this is some kind of highly advanced science/mathematics incorporated by our ancients. Is there any kind of light on this field?

One thing that i noticed is that while telling the future predictions, the exact date/year is not revealed. I'm not sure if its the same for all or it just happened to me. In my case, i was told a range.. like from your age of 29 - 31 i will have this happen and so on. I would like to know if its the same with everyone?

The past is always accurate, but it's difficult to interpret the future because the language is an ancient language, and what we speak today has no connection to the script they read.

Even my future events haven't been as accurate as he predicted.except the overall aspect of my future seems to make some meaning with what he said. But the time of prediction of events and everything have been totally wrong.
